Tabor

In the field of the church and chamber music there is great current interest in playing on instruments made like the original. Therefore we created our series PERCUSSIO ANTIQUA.

This instrument probably got its name from the hussit town Tabor. Held by a leather strab in the hand which simultaneously played the flute, the other beat the drum. The snare effect was created by a gut snare which can be tightened by a peg.
